What Is an Adverbial Phrase? (Video)
An adverbial phrase is a group of words that functions as an adverb. 'In the morning' and 'behind the shed' are examples of adverbial phrases. An adverbial phrase will not contain a subject and a verb, otherwise it is an adverbial clause.
