Confidence Test on Easily Confused Words

homesitemapgames & tests easily confused words test

Do you know the difference between "affect" and "effect"?

Here is a game to test your knowledge of easily confused words (e.g., affect/effect, advice/advise, it's/its). This game also tests the confidence in your answer. You can score 5 points, 3 points, or 1 point for each answer.

If you're 100% sure you know the answer, go for 5 points. If you're pretty sure, go for 3. If you're unsure, go for 1. Beware though! If you get the question wrong, you will lose those 5 points, 3 points, or 1 point.

(We've also thrown in one or two questions on apostrophes and capital letters just to keep you on your toes.)
